In 1900 she lived in Russia Township, Lorain County, Ohio with her daughter Anna G. and Anna’s husband John Younglas and their daughter Dora M. Her brother-in-law Jacob Justin lived with them as well. In 1910 she lived with her son Christian and his family in Russia Township. The census recorded her married name as Curtin.

Their family name was written Husten on the census, and Christopher’s name was listed as George. In 1870 he and his wife and five children lived in Sheffield Township, Lorain County. Their name was written Oster on the census. In 1880 he and his wife Elizabeth lived in Russia Township, Lorain County with three of their children—Matthias, John and Gertrude.
Peter and Elizabeth’s son Mathias John Justen married Katharine Younglas, the daughter of Nicholas Younglas and Anna Maria Weber. Mathias John’s sister Gertrude Anna Justin married Katharine Younglas’ brother John.
