She sailed with her parents from Rotterdam, The Netherlands on the ship “Agnes,” arriving in New York, New York on October 19, 1843. In 1860 her name was listed as Emily on the census; in 1870 and 1880 it was listed as Anna M.
As of 1900 she had had 10 children, of whom seven were living.
In 1920 she lived with her daughter Mary in Avon, Lorain County, Ohio.

He arrived in the United States on August 20, 1842 with his father, his brothers John and Peter John, and his sister Anna Maria. He became a naturalized citizen.
In 1850 he lived in Avon Township, Lorain County, Ohio with his father and two of his siblings. In 1860 he and his wife lived in Avon next door to his brother John and John’s wife and family. In 1870 he and his wife lived in Avon with their five children. In 1880 he and his wife lived in Avon with their four sons and three daughters. In 1900 he and his wife lived in Avon with their daughter Mary as well as their daughter Margaret, her husband Benjamin Bruck and daughter Angela. In 1910 he and his wife lived in Avon with their daughter Mary. They reported that their granddaughter Angela lived with them as well, but she was also enumerated with her mother in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio in 1910.
