Notes for Johann (Spouse 1)
Source: Records of St. Maximin Catholic Church in Klotten
His name was also spelled Claasen. Johann lived in Stiltzhausen where he was a hofmann (overseer) from about 1744 to 1772. Johann and Anna Katharine may have been married in Martendahl. Johann Claas and Sophie Jungclas required a dispensation to marry for grade 3 affinity, a situation that would have resulted if Sophie and Anna Katharine were 2nd cousins or if Johann and Sophie were second cousins. Four of Johann’s children died in March 1771.
Johann was a baptismal sponsor in 1740 for Johann, son of Peter Laubach and Maria Deusen of Villa Sommet. He may have been a second cousin of the child.
Notes for Anton (Spouse 2)
Although born in Esperhof, Anton was a hofmann (courtier) in Stiltzhausen from about 1753 to 1777. His first wife, Elisabeth, may have been born in Stiltzhausen. Their daughter Anna Maria was born in Esperhof. His name was also spelled Kaess.
Notes for Johann Hubert (Spouse 3)
Johann Hubert was a baptismal sponsor in 1782 for Johann Hubert, the son of Johann Peter Laubach and Anna Maria Kraemer of Illerich. Jhann Hubertz Zens was the villicus (overseer) of Stiltzhausen in 1792 when he was the baptismal sponsor for Johann Hubert, the son of Heinrich Ackermann and Maria Elisabeth Clausen of Klotten, as well as when he married in 1810. The witnesses to the wedding of Johann Hubert and Anna Maria were Johann Theodore Steffens and Nikolaus Schaden of Klotten.
