In 1900 he and his family lived next door to his parents in Avon, Lorain County, Ohio. In 1910 his family continued to live in Avon. In 1930 he and his wife and son Julius lived in Avon.
Two of his and Rose’s sons married daughters of Jacob and Lena Jungclas Toll.
He, his wife, and his daughter-in-law Genevieve (the wife of Julius), as well as his son Aloysius, daughter-in-law Bernice (the wife of George), and granddaughter Bernice (the daughter of Robert P.) share a tombstone at St. Mary Cemetery, Avon.
