In 1920 he and his sister Dorothy lived in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio with their mother’s parents and sisters.
In 1930, 1935 and 1940 he and his sister lived on E. 130 St. in Cleveland. In 1930 they lived in the home of their aunt Camilla and her husband John Chvatal, as well as their mother’s married sister-in-law Ottila Harris, and their grandfather John Hlavka, age 77.
