Notes for Johann Peter Esch
Source: Records of St. Martin and St. Severus Catholic Church in Muenstermaifeld. Source of the identification of Johann Peter, the son of Johann Peter Esch and Maria Koehn, as the husband of Maria Einig, and of his occupation: Manfred Ruettgers.
His baptismal sponsors were Rev. Peter Born, chaplain at the monastery and pastor in Beulich, and a single woman, Margarete Sevenich, [possibly the daughter of Johann Heinrich Sevenich and Anna Maria Froelich of Muenstermaifeld].
He was a baptismal sponsor in 1735 for Maria Katharine, the daughter of Johann Heinrich Marx and Anna Maria Brachtendorf of Hof Feils, Metternich.
He was a synodalis in the Catholic church. One of his children died on January 17 and another on January 30, 1718.
Notes for Maria (Spouse 1)

She was a baptismal sponsor in 1699 for Maria, the daughter of Johann Hilgert and Agnes Kevenheim of Metternich, and in 1710 for Maria Theresia, the daughter of her late husband’s uncle Johann Sevenich and Maria Katharine Brachtendorf of Muenstermaifeld.
