His name was also spelled Geiermann.
He was a baptismal sponsor in 1697 for Maria, the daughter of Kaspar Duenchenheim and Anna Maria Esch of Metternich, and in 1703 for Clara, the daughter of Matthias Suesterhenn and Anna Schomer of Keldung.
Notes for Maria (Spouse 1)
Source: Records of St. Martin and St. Severus Catholic Church in Muenstermaifeld. Source of the information about her female baptismal sponsor and about her baptismal sponsorship in 1691: FB Muenstermaifeld.
Her baptismal sponsors were Nikolaus Koehn [of Metternich] and [her mother’s first cousin] Maria, the daughter of Peter Stein [and Maria] of Schrumpftal, Metternich.
She was a baptismal sponsor in 1691 for (Anna) Maria, the daughter of Matthias Suesterhenn and Katharine Krechel of Keldung, and in 1696 for Johann, the son of Gangolf Esch and Katharine Marx of Metternich.
The wedding notice gave her maiden name as Stein but her children’s baptismal notices gave it as Ackermann. The first of these baptismal notices had Stein crossed out and Ackermann written in. The Maria Ackermann who was born in 1671 in Metternich was identified as the wife of Balthasar Geyrmann because she was the only Maria Ackermann born in Metternich during that period.
