Bartholomaeus (Barthel) sailed with his parents and siblings from Le Havre, France on the ship “Albany,” arriving in New York, New York on August 2, 1841.
Bartholomaus Einig and Magdalene Schneider lived in Ohio. They had four children.
He moved to Volusia County, Florida about 1869 to get a homestead. He established the first sawmill in Titusville, Brevard County, Florida.
