His tombstone reads Joseph P., but he was also known as Peter Joseph.
In 1900 he lived with his brother Anton and Anton’s wife Gertrude in Forest, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. His birth month and year were reported to be August 1882.
In 1910, 1920, 1930 and 1940 he and his family lived in Marshfield Township, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin. In 1910 his family lived next door to his father and mother, and to his brother Arthur and his wife Alvina. In 1930 his mother lived with his family. His last name was misspelled “Guders” when the 1930 census record was transcribed.
