Anna Maria and her husband and their children Katharine, Christian and Elisabeth sailed from Rotterdam, The Netherlands on the ship “Agnes,” arriving in New York, New York on October 19, 1843. Anna Maria’s brother Chrysanth Reuter and his family were also on board the ship.
In the United States her last name was spelled Reiter. The findagrave site gives her birth information as January, 1807.

Peter Thome, his wife and children Katharine, Christian and Elisabeth sailed from Rotterdam, The Netherlands on the ship “Agnes,” arriving in New York, New York on October 19, 1843. His brother-in-law Chrysanth Reuter and his family also sailed on the ship “Agnes.”
In 1850 he and his wife and six children lived in Avon, Lorain County, Ohio, next door to his brother Bartel Thome and his family. In 1860 he and his wife and five of their children lived in Avon. In 1860 his name was spelled Toma. In 1870 he lived on a farm in North Ridgeville, Lorain County with his wife Anna Maria. Their daughter Anna lived nearby with her husband Adam Diederich and son Matthias.
In 1880 he lived with the family of his daughter Maria Emma and Nicholas Diederich in North Ridgeville.
His three youngest daughters (Helena Magdalena, Anna, and Maria Emma) married sons of Matthias Diederich and Anna Katharine Pecker.
