In 1920 Louisa lived in Marytown, Calumet Township, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin with her nine children and her mother. A servant named Matthias Theobold lived with them.

In 1900 Paul and his wife and three children lived in Marytown, Calumet Township, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin. Their farm was adjacent to that of Louisa’s mother Barbara Schmitz. In 1905 Paul and his wife and five children lived in Marytown.
He lived on his family’s homestead throughout his life. He died of pneumonia.
