According to Ortschronik Mannebach/Eifel by Peter Bauer, Nikolaus Hermann, and Erich Mertes, Johann and Anna Barbara Mand’s daughter Anna Maria (born March 24, 1864 in Mannebach) immigrated with them to Wisconsin.
Johann and Barbara immigrated to Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin in 1871. Their daughters Anna Maria and Maria also immigrated. In the United States the family lived in Fond du Lac for about three years, and then in St. Martin, Stearns County, Minnesota.
In 1880 and 1910 John and his wife lived in Pierz, Morrison County, Minnesota. In 1880 their daughters Anna Maria and Maria and their son Peter lived with them.
The 1910 census reports that John immigrated in 1871 and became a naturalized citizen, and Anna Barbara immigrated in 1872.
After his daughter Anna Maria died in 1910, her seven unmarried children lived with Johann and Anna Barbara.
