Based on the number of times Johann Michael’s children and grandchildren had baptismal sponsors from the family of Christian Ebertz and Anna Maria Castor, and the fact that Johann Michael was a sponsor for a son of that couple, I have identified Johann Michael as the brother of Anna Maria Castor. Their parents were Johann Castor and Maria Elisabeth Esper who married about 1709. Johann Michael may also have been the brother of Barbara Castor of Greimersburg who married Johann Schneider in 1749 and of Jakob Castor who married Anna Esper.
One of Johann Michael’s and Maria’s children died on February 26, 1760.
