In 1910 Gideon lived in Kiawa, Harper County, Oklahoma with his wife Etta and their son John. His name was spelled Finley. Gideon’s brother George also lived in Oklahoma at that time.
In 1930 Gideon lived in North Ridgeville, Lorain County, Ohio with his wife Catherine, his son Thomas and daughter Mary from his first marriage, his daughter Catherine from his marriage to Catherine Pauly, and Catherine’s son Harold Smith from her first marriage.
