She immigrated in 1843 and became a naturalized citizen.
In 1900 she lived with five of her children—Peter, Elizabeth, Rosina, Cecilia and Aloysius—and a grandchild, 3-year-old Stella Eberling, in Avon, Lorain County, Ohio. She had had 15 children, of whom 12 were living. In 1910 Theresa lived in Avon with her son Peter and daughter Cecelia. In 1920 she lived with her daughter Cecelia in Avon. They lived adjacent to the home of her daughter Christina, Christina’s husband Louis Hassel, and their children.
