In June 1900 he lived in Summit, Richland County, North Dakota with his future wife and her father and siblings. In 1910 he and his wife and five children lived in Breckenridge, Wilkin County, Minnesota. In 1920 he and his wife and nine children lived in Breckenridge. His wife’s 27-year old sister Amelia Eckes lived with them, as did Grace Schoonever, a 19-year-old public school teacher from Minnesota. In 1930 he and his children lived in Breckenridge.
