Notes for John Ferner
In 1850 he and his wife and three of their children lived in Sheffield Township, Lorain County, Ohio. In 1860 and 1870 he and his family lived in Sheffield. His family name on the 1860 census was transcribed as Fenny. In the 1870 document it was transcribed as Flower.
In 1860 his family lived very close to the family of Johann Diederich and Gertrud Saurens, and the family of Matthias Rothgery and Anna Katharine.

The findagrave.com site lists January 17, 1833 as her date of death. The tombstone appears to indicate January 17, 1893, and gives her age as 75. The 1860 census lists her age as 49, indicating she was born in 1811 or 1812.
