In 1850 Stephan and his sons Peter, Johann, and Matthias lived in Black Rock, Erie County, New York. In 1860 Stephan and his son Peter lived in Fairhaven Township, Carroll County, Illinois. The findagrave site gives April 25, 1800 as his birthdate.
