His baptismal sponsors were Anton Knechtges and Katharine Heucher, both of Landkern. Anton Knechtges was the son of Jakob Knechtges and Gertrud Kraemer who was born in 1737 in Landkern. Katharine Heucher of Landkern could have been one of the following, or another Katharine Heucher:
1) Sophie Lauxen’s step-daughter Katharie who was born in 1740 in Villa Beauweiler to Johann Heucher and Maria Pauli; thus she was Joahnn Lauxen’s step-niece.
2) Johann’s sister Katharine Lauxen who married Jakob Heucher, Margaretha Gilles’ possible step-father, in 1747.
3) Katharine Esper, daughter of Matthias Esper and Katharine of Masburg who married Bernhard Heucher of Landkern in 1733. He died in 1738.
