Anton Gilles and Margaretha Lauxen of Landkern were his baptismal sponsors. Johann Anton Gilles of Villa Beauweiler was born in 1731 to Nikolaus Gilles and Sophie Muennich and may have been the brother of Margaretha Gilles. In 1754 he married Sophie Lauxen, Johann’s sister. She was the widow of Johann Heucher of Villa Beauweiler. He married Anna Heucher of Villa Beauweiler in 1761.
Margaretha Lauxen was Johann’s sister. She married Johann Mohr, widower of Christine Turck, in 1751.
