Notes for Sophie Schweitzer
Source: Records of St. Servatius Catholic Church in Landkern.
Sophie Schweitzer was identified as the daughter of Anton Schweitzer and Johanna because they were the only Schweitzer couple in the church records living in Greimersburg at the time she was born. There may have been another Schweitzer family whose children were born during the period 1715-1725 for which there are no baptismal records but there is no mention of any other Schweitzers who died after that period in Greimersburg.
Sophie was a baptismal sponsor in 1759 in Landkern for Sophie Steinecker, daughter of Anton Steinecker and Katharine of Baschenheim.
Notes for Andreas (Spouse 1)
Source: Records of St. Servatius Catholic Church in Landkern. Andreas was the overseer of Villa Nova (Neuhof) in St. Servatius parish when he married Sophie Schweitzer. Children of theirs died on April 15 and Sept. 16, 1762 and on Jan. 23, 1763.
He was a baptismal sponsor for his granddaughter Anna Barbara, the child of Jakob Schmitz and Angela Ackermann of Neuhof, in 1788.
