Notes for Johann Schaden
The marriage notice in 1774 had a D. before his name, meaning something like “sir.” He had been a soldier (a captain?) and then was village mayor at the Malmady Abby. He was also a synodalis in the church in Klotten. One of Johann’s young children died October 17, 1777. Johann’s daughter Anna Katharine married Johann Peter Feins in 1797 in Klotten.
Notes for Katharine Gertrud (Spouse 1)
Katharine Gertrud was a baptismal sponsor in 1730 for Peter, son of Anton Michael Goebel and Anna Espers of Klotten. She may have been the widow of Johann Heinrich Losen who died in Klotten on Dec. 4, 1747.
Notes for Anna Maria Ursula (Spouse 2)
She was a widower when she married Johann Schaden. Muller may have been her maiden or married name.
Notes for Gertrud (Spouse 3)
Anton Moentenich of Illerich and Gertrud Lauxen of Wirfus were her baptismal sponsors. Her confirmation record from 1764 lists her parents as Anton Ackermann and Angela Schaeffges. She was a baptismal sponsor for Jakob Claas of Annischerhof on Nov. 15, 1786.
