She apparently came to Ridgeville in 1856 with her brother John and her sister Gertrud. The cemetery inscription in St. Teresa of Avila Cemetery in Sheffield gives her month of death as April 1873 and her age at death as 38 years, 10 months, 25 days.

He immigrated with his parents in about 1844.
In 1860 he lived with his mother and six of his siblings in Sheffield Township, Lorain County, Ohio. In 1870 he and his wife Anna M. and children—Kate, Maggie, Mary, Theresa and John—lived in Sheffield. Maggie Schmitt, age 75, lived with them. In 1880 he and his family lived in Sheffield; his mother lived with his family. His brother Michael and his family lived next door. In 1900 he and his family lived in Sheffield. HIs brother Michael’s son Nicholas lived nearby.
Nikolaus and Anna Maria Diederich had six children die in infancy and six survive their mother.
