Peter immigrated to Wisconsin in 1845 along with Katharine Frein and his four children.
In 1860 Peter lived in Taycheedah Township, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin with his wife Katharine and five of his children. In 1870 he and his wife Katharine and children lived in Taycheedah. Their name on the census was spelled “Carper.” In 1880 he was a widower. He lived with the family of his son John “Kasper” in Taycheedah. The census report indicated he had asthma.
The name on his tombstone is Kasper.
